Job Description:
We are seeking a QA / Field Testing Engineer (Robotics) to test, validate, and stress-test ROZOR robots across a variety of indoor environments.
You will evaluate autonomy, perception, navigation, and hardware performance under real-world conditions—collecting data and diagnosing issues to help improve robot stability, safety, and reliability.
Your findings will directly guide improvements across autonomy, hardware, embedded systems, and cloud teams, ensuring ROZOR robots can operate flawlessly in hospitals, malls, warehouses, and office buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct real-world field tests of ROZOR robots in hospitals, malls, warehouses, and customer-like facilities
- Validate navigation, mapping, obstacle avoidance, and behavior performance
- Collect sensor logs, video, telemetry, and failure case data for engineering teams
- Reproduce, diagnose, and document bugs in autonomy, hardware, and embedded systems
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
- Perform regression testing after software or firmware updates
- Ensure robots meet performance, quality, and safety requirements before deployment
- Collaborate with autonomy, software, hardware, and cloud teams to resolve issues
- Provide field insights to improve design, usability, robustness, and reliability
- Support customer site evaluations, pilot programs, and on-site robot demonstrations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 1–3 years experience testing robotics, automation, or hardware-based systems
- Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 tools (rviz, rosbag, rqt) for debugging and data collection
- Experience running structured tests and documenting issues clearly
- Strong understanding of sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU) and navigation concepts
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
- Willingness to work hands-on with robots and conduct testing in varied environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
