Job Description:
We are looking for a Robotics Hardware Engineer / Mechatronics Engineer to design, prototype, and validate the hardware systems that power ROZOR robots.
This role involves end-to-end development of mechanical assemblies, electronics integration, actuator systems, and sensor mounting to ensure performance and safety under real-world operating conditions.
Your work will directly influence how ROZOR robots behave, navigate, and withstand daily use in dynamic indoor environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components, chassis structures, mounts, and sensor housings
- Develop and integrate electronic systems: PCBs, wiring harnesses, power distribution, motor controllers
- Select and configure actuators, motors, gearboxes, and drivetrain components
- Integrate cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, ultrasonic sensors, depth sensors, and compute units
- Perform prototyping, 3D printing, machining, and iterative hardware testing
- Collaborate with embedded and autonomy teams to ensure compatibility between hardware and software
- Conduct mechanical and environmental stress tests to validate durability
- Optimize hardware for manufacturability, assembly, and field serviceability
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on ROZOR robots during development and deployment
- Support field testing, reliability improvements, and design revisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years experience in robotics, mechatronics, or hardware development
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, etc.)
- Experience designing mechanical assemblies for motion systems
- Strong understanding of sensors, motors, and electronics integration
- Ability to read schematics and collaborate with electrical and embedded teams
- Experience with rapid prototyping and hands-on fabrication
- Knowledge of material selection, tolerancing, and DFM principles
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in hardware environments
